State Duma deputies are preparing to consider a bill that provides for annual payments for students by the beginning of the school year. If the document is adopted, on the eve of September 1, parents of children from 6 to 18 years old will receive 21,800 rubles each.
The deputies propose to pay money not only to families with schoolchildren, but also to parents of students in secondary specialized or higher educational institutions with full-time education.
“It is proposed to make an annual payment before the start of the academic year to families with children studying in the main educational programs of primary general, basic general and secondary general, as well as full-time secondary and higher education implemented in the Russian Federation”,

According to the co-author of the initiative, the first deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Education, Yana Lantratova, a payment of 34,600 rubles is offered for low-income families, and 23,200 rubles for low-income students.
The expert noted that the prices for textbooks and notebooks have increased. And besides them, children need to buy clothes, shoes, a backpack and stationery.
“As far as I know, this year some families gave up their summer holidays at sea, realizing that they would have enough money either to pay for school or travel. Therefore, we offer to support parents,
— quotes the opinion of the TASS deputy.
Earlier, analysts calculated how much this year the Russians spend on fees by September 1. So, the average check for clothes, shoes and other accessories amounted to about 15,000 rubles. The experts found that last year, all the same things cost parents 20% cheaper.
